Lakeia graduated with a Masters degree from Mississippi State University in 2017 in Clinical Mental Health Therapy. Prior to her master's degree, she earned her Bachelors of Science degree from William Carey University in 2015. Lakeia has been a mental health therapist for the past 7 years and has worked in community mental health, school settings, local juvenile justice systems, inpatient settings, partial hospitalization and has supervisor experience as well. During this time, Lakeia has had the pleasure of working with youth, adults, juvenile detention, and group therapy. Lakeia utilizes CBT, solution-focused, person centered and EMDR therapy. Lakeia specializes in helping those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, mood disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
